Priti’s Michigan Garden – FineGardening

Today’s photos are from Priti Pant, who is sharing some beautiful images from her Michigan garden.

light pink peony flowers with clusters of smaller petals insideThis beautiful pink peony (Paeonia hybrid, Zones 3–8) is of a type called “anemone form.” These peonies have a ring of large petals with a cluster of smaller petals (petaloids) in the center.

pink single petal peonies with a metal dragonfly garden art aboveThis single peony with just a simple ring of petals is delicate. Single forms generally stand up better without staking, as the flowers aren’t as heavy.

dark purple-red clematis flowersClematis are flowering vines. Many of them bloom most heavily in the spring, but some will repeat bloom through the summer with others blooming mostly in the fall. Full sun and rich soil will yield the most blooms.
